Is the United States Government Covering Up a Terrorist Attack?

I’ve already written about how the government under this current administration feels that the protests and attacks on the United States embassies in the Middle-East right now have nothing to do with American policy. What’s curious is that United States Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice is now parroting the administration’s message. As she explains in the video below, the Middle-East hates us because of this video, and this video alone.

Outrage City: Greg Gutfeld’s Solution to a Bridge with the Middle-East

Greg Gutfeld is known on Fox News as the diminutive quick witted host of Red Eye and a cohost of The Five. Each episode Gutfeld has a segment where he talks about something bugging him, and on September 14th he highlighted the cultural difference between our American western culture, and how Middle-Eastern Islamic culture respond to things that anger them. His solution is sarcastic, of course, but it also makes a point. Is outrage and violence the only language that’s understood? Would there be calls to listen to us and be understanding if America responded to Middle-Eastern beheadings the same way they respond to a video?

Who’s on First, What’s on Second, and Who is Responsible for the Middle East Riots?

There’s a lot of confusion and anger in American politics right now about who is responsible for what conservatives are somewhat mockingly referring to as the “Arab Autumn”, a play on the supposed post-terrorism awakening known as the Arab Spring that many people, including those in the Obama administration, attribute a large amount of reduction in Muslim support of terrorism over the last several months. The Arab Spring was largely considered responsible for the ousting, exile, and eventual murder of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, a leader who although certainly did not treat all citizens the way we would have wanted him to, ultimately was an ally of the United States for thirty years. Our foreign policy at this time was, perhaps in retrospect unfortunately, to abandon Mubarak to the fates that may be. The Obama administration instead reported that “the United States stands with the people of Egypt”. Which I guess was always a given, but the message of the statement was more so “Whatever you guys want to do, we’re all down for. Yo.”
