While we wait for new methods to count the votes it’s important to learn from the past election. In 2020, many poll workers were unfamiliar with the new system, which caused issues like forgotten memory cards and improperly cancelled absentee ballots. In Georgia, the Secretary of State automatically sent out absentee ballots to voters who participated in the Primary election due to COVID-19. Some citizens returned the unfilled absentee ballot in person, which caused their voting method to be misrecorded leading to voter history files not matching the number of votes cast. This problem still exists today, so it’s important to be educated and vote regardless of one’s opinion of Dominion. Mail-in voting is considered the weakest link and remains the largest source of potential voter fraud. Voter roll accuracy is essential. Some discrepancies in voting records last year were due to human error, rather than fraud. Adequate training must be a high priority in future elections to avoid such mistakes. Public pressure is needed to ensure discrepancies are followed up on to avoid allegations of fraud.

Governor Brian Kemp - Oh My

Governor Brian Kemp’s recent political moves have been making headlines. Kemp believes that Georgia’s citizens deserve a more suitable president than Donald J. Trump. After facing criticism from Trump in 2020, Kemp has taken action to counter Trump’s influence by forming a PAC (political action committee) called “Hard Working Americans” and designed this website https://www.hardworkingamericans.org/ to create a better platform (although exactly the same) than the GAGOP. In response, the GAGOP has publicly supported Trump and is hopeful of a Trump Republican candidate win in Georgia. Kemp’s PAC will fundraise for his chosen Republican candidates, and its speaker list includes several prospective 2024 presidential candidates, such as Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, and Tim Scott. An esteemed group of GOP donors, including property developer Harlan Crow and oil and gas investor Trevor Rees-Jones, will co-host the event. Click on Politico for more details.

Governor Kemp has revealed some concerning information about the Dominion voting machines. While technology can be challenging to manage, we have the confidence to face any obstacle head-on.
